Born in Brazil, lived in Canada and France. Presently her professional address is in Rome, Italy.
Her professional career began in 1986, when Portugal joined the European Economic Community. Since then, she has been working as interpreter in the political and entrepreneurial fields, and as translator for different international organizations. After being granted with the Professional Secrecy Code, she became a member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters, adopting the AIIC's Professional standards in order to ensure an optimum quality of work. She has constantlty up-dated her knowledge, taking courses of Law in the context of EU, European and Monetary Union, Law for Linguists, Professional up-dating course for Portuguese Interpreters, Spanish Language and Culture, The Constitutional Future of Europe, Comparing EU and US Constitutions, The EU and US in a Changing World and Languages in International Relations.
